Hotel Meduza
A theatrical performance that turned the basement of Maska Theater into a mysterious underwater hotel. Part of the 2019 European Stadium of Culture festival in Rzeszów, this interdisciplinary piece combined live performance, visual art, and multimedia installation.
About This Project
Written and directed by Ira Nirsha with producer Malwina Kajetańczyk, the performance brought together an international creative team.
I handled the multimedia installation, orchestrating a setup of projectors, TVs, and cameras to create live video effects that enhanced the mysterious underwater atmosphere. The tech setup was crucial in bringing the submerged hotel concept to life, creating immersive visuals that complemented the live performance.
During rehearsals, I also grabbed my old Sony camcorder and filmed our process. The result is a raw, behind-the-scenes video that captures the energy of our collaboration.
The performance ran for three nights, creating an intimate and mysterious experience. You can also check out photos and videos from the performance to see how the underwater hotel concept came to life.
